I am a feminist student of Women's Studies. For two years, I have been a babysitter. My job varies from 25 to 45 hours per week. Admittedly, I am obsessed with the children for whom I sit, and with children in general. Of course, I want this blog to be a resource for my fellow feminist babysitters. But I also want to welcome conversation on children and feminism.
For instance:
Children and gender, race, sexuality, class, discovering their bodies
Feminist children's books, music, communities of learning, schools, etc.
On a personal level, I want to know what's going on across the country and around the world in feminist communities and raising children. I hope that this blog will serve as a place to circulate ideas and ask questions about feminism and children and experiences of feminists who are raising other people's children, or/and are raising their own. So please feel free to respond and discuss!
